There is a new superintendent of Benton Harbor Area Schools.

Dr. Robert Herrera will officially take the post on July 1 after being selected by school board members on Thursday, June 14.

Dr. Robert Herrera will also take on C-E-O duties down the road, as well.

Herrera has worked as superintendent of South Haven Schools.

He takes over for Dr. Shelly Walker who resigned amid an investigation.
