Eight people hurt in crash on State Road 13 in Elkhart County

As many as eight people were injured in a head-on crash on State Road 13 in Elkhart County.

It happened around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sep. 4 on the State Road 13 bridge over the Toll Road, near Exit 107, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision, an SUV and a green passenger car.

Six victims were in the passenger car. The other two were in the SUV.

MedFlight took at least one person to the hospital.

The entrance to the Toll Road was blocked off for much of the morning.

The victims’ injuries were said to be non-life-threatening.
