Three people in Cass County hurt by falling trees during Monday’s storms

The strong storms that hit the area on Labor Day dropped trees on motorists in Cass County, injuring three people.

A 57 year-old White Pigeon man and his wife were injured when a tree fell in front of their motorcycle on M-40 near Teasdale Lake Street in Porter Township, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office. Both were injured by branches and are expected to be okay.

In a separate incident, a tree fell on a car on Hemlock Lake Road near Taylor Drive in Marcellus Township, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported. A 56 year-old Marcellus man was sent to Bronson Lakeview Hospital for treatment. His condition is not known.
