St. Joseph County Metro Homicide was called to a shooting on South Bend’s south side.

It happened around 8:30 on Tuesday, Sep. 18, at St. Joseph and Milton Streets.

Investigators say the victim, Antoine Coleman, 33, of South Bend, was in a car when he was shot. His two children were in the vehicle as well, but were not injured.

Coleman was taken to the hospital, where he passed away from his injuries. An autopsy is expected to take place on Thursday in Fort Wayne.

Investigators believe a dispute preceded the shooting.
