There is good news for drivers who use Capital Avenue in St. Joseph County. Construction is over.

The project began in June and involved restoring concrete between Lincolnway and Douglas Road.

INDOT warns in the coming weeks, there could be brief, limited closures as crews complete final items to close out the project.

Meanwhile, the two year bridge reconstruction project over the St. Joseph River continues.

This year, crews are rebuilding the southbound side of the bridge, with traffic flowing in one lane in each direction over the northbound side.

Next year, crews will work on the northbound side with traffic flowing over the southbound side.
