Man pleads guilty to voluntary manslaughter in teenager’s shooting death

A man who prosecutors say shot and killed a teenage boy during a game of dice has pleaded guilty.

D’Angelo Jennings, 17, died back in January in the 1800 block of N. Johnson Street in South Bend.

The shooting happened when the Jennings and the suspect, Torreay Fennessee, got into a fight over a girl.

On Thursday, Oct. 11, Fennessee pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and a gun charge.

Fennessee is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 7.
