Police credit complaining neighbors for arrest, shut down of suspected drug house

South Bend Police are crediting complaints from neighbors with the shutdown of suspected drug house.

Authorities searched the home in the 200 block of North Edison Avenue on Tuesday, Dec. 18.

Inside, they reportedly found phones, cash, a handgun, drug manufacturing items, and approximately 90 grams of cocaine.

Police also arrested one man, Christopher Johnson, on preliminary charges of possession and dealing in meth.

Johnson is being held at St. Joseph County Jail without bond.

The investigation was led and organized by the afternoon southwest patrol officers with the assistance of the SBPD SWAT Team, Strategic Focus Unit, Investigative Bureau, St. Joseph County Drug Investigation Unit and the National Guard Anti Drug Task Force.
