Police: Man arrested after being found with 160 pounds of pot on U.S. 30 in Marshall County

A California man who police say they found hauling 160 pounds of marijuana was arrested during a traffic stop on U.S. 30.

The arrest took place around 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, on U.S. 30, just east of Iris Road in Marshall County.

An Indiana State Police trooper suspected possible drug activity while speaking to the driver, Tony Lim, 68, of San Gabriel, California.

The trooper’s K9 partner conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the odor of narcotics.

Troopers discovered boxes containing vacuum sealed packages of the suspected marijuana with a street value of approximately $300,000.

Lim was taken to the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of dealing marijuana and possession of marijuana.
