Silver Alert for missing man from Elkhart cancelled, man found safe

UPDATE: Bentley was found safe. The Silver Alert was cancelled at 9 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 25.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the disappearance of Alby Ray Bentley, a 63 year old white male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 180 pounds, gray hair with blue eyes, last seen wearing a yellow straw hat, gray and black coat, gray sweat pants, brown shoes, and carrying a black cane.

Alby is missing from Elkhart and was last seen on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 11:15 am.  He is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.

Anybody with information about Alby Ray Bentley is asked to contact the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office at 574-533-4151 or 911.
