Mishawaka woman says a stalking Lyft driver harassed her

A Mishawaka woman claims she was harassed by a Lyft driver that she’s ridden with several times before.

She says he’s been stalking her since February. The woman, whose name is being withheld, accepted a free ride that he offered on February 21. He told her it was “so she could save her money.”

She claims after the driver, who she had ridden with ten times before, cancelled the ride he began taking her down back roads to get to her place of work. He caressed her leg, and asked for a kiss, and she was able to exit the vehicle without further incident.

The woman says she believes that he’s been stalking her since February, and she has seen him show up when she is out with family.

Lyft says they are assisting the police in their investigation and they take the safety of their customers very seriously.
