One person was killed and as many as three other people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on the U.S. 20 Bypass.

The collision happened in the westbound lanes near the Elm Road exit around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, and involved a semi and four passenger vehicles.

There was another crash not far away on the bypass, but it’s unclear if the two were related.

One of the victims who was hurt was last listed in serious but stable condition.

The St. Joseph County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team is investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
