In anticipation of temperature indexes in the 90s, the USGA has revised its water policy for the 40th U.S. Senior Open Championship at Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame to address heat-related issues. Starting Thursday, the following measures will be in place to facilitate fan hydration for the championship:

  • Two clear, unopened water bottles of 24-oz. or less will be permitted through championship admission gates
  • Complimentary refill stations will be available throughout the course at all First Aid locations

Fans are encouraged to prepare for hours in the sun by applying sunscreen, wearing a hat, using a sun umbrella and seeking shade through the warmer afternoon hours. Fans are permitted to bring sunscreen in containers no larger than 3 oz.

A complete spectator guide, including directions to spectator parking lots and a list of prohibited items, can be found on the U.S. Senior Open website.
