Second shooting in 10 days at Blossom Acres in Benton Harbor

A teenager was shot early Tuesday morning in Benton Harbor.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Blossom Acres Housing Complex, just a few blocks south of Main Street, and is the second shooting at Blossom Acres in the last ten days.

Witnesses told the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety that two women were fighting and the teenager was trying to break it up when he was shot in the shoulder.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and there’s no word of any arrests.
