Charges Filed Against Man Who Shot Woman in the Face

Dante Howard/ ABC 57 NEWS

Dante Howard II has been charged with aggravated battery, pointing a firearm, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon. It all stems from a shooting that happened in a parking lot in Mishawaka on September 15th.

Police say that Howard had beaten his girlfriend the day before, and became upset when she didn’t come back home. When she finally did, he confronted her and her friend with a gun, arguments ensued, threats were made, and the friend was shot in the face.

ABC 57 reports that while investigating police discovered that Howard had a gun reported stolen out of Michigan, it’s unclear if that firearm was the one used in the shooting.
