Elkhart and Kosciusko counties have each reported a measles case as infections rise across Indiana.
The state has reported 74 cases so far this year, compared with 10 last year. LaGrange County has reported at least a dozen cases. Health officials say declining MMR vaccination rates are contributing to the increase.
Measles symptoms can include fever, cough, runny nose and fatigue, followed by a rash. Anyone who suspects they may have measles should call a health care provider before going to a medical facility, since the virus spreads easily.
