Man injured in shooting outside of Elkhart bar

A 24-year-old man walked into the hospital with a bullet wound to the leg after a shooting outside of an Elkhart bar.

The gunfire happened around 2:50 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20, at Jimmy Squids Hideout in the 700 block of County Road 6.

Officers arrived on scene about found multiple shell casings and a vehicle with a rear window shattered from what appeared to be a bullet, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

The victims injuries are non-life threatening.

There was no word of any suspects or arrests or indication of the circumstances that led to the shooting.
