Walorski cheers legislation that helps protect medical device jobs in Indiana

Congresswoman Jackie Walorski applauded the permanent repeal of what she called “a job-killing medical device tax” on Tuesday.

The U.S. House passed a year-end funding agreement that included her bipartisan bill to kill the Obama-era tax. Walorski says this will help to protect manufacturing jobs in northern Indiana, boost research and innovation, and ensure patients will continue to have access to cutting-edge technology.

The agreement also boosts defense funding, gives US Troops their biggest pay bump in a decade, and repeals two additional taxes related to Obamacare.
