Mishawaka woman dies after dive at Florida shipwreck

A Mishawaka woman has died after scuba diving off Key West in Florida.

The South Bend Tribune reports 59 year-old Rebecca Butler Power experienced distress while performing a dive at a shipwreck at around 100 feet. It happened Thursday morning around 10:30 at the USS General Hoyt S. Vandenberg, a popular shipwreck diving attraction about six miles off the coast of Key West.

She was pronounced dead a short time later at a Florida hospital. Her death is the second related to the shipwreck since August.
