A South Bend man has been sentenced to more than ten years in prison for meth and heroin charges.

Maurice Sylvester, 32, was sentenced to 130 months in prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release.

He was arrested with more than four pounds of methamphetamine during the execution of a warrant at a South Bend home. He also had heroin and more than $1,200 with him at the time. He’d been previously convicted of six felonies, most involving drugs.

A co-defendant, Kenneth Sanders, was previously given a 120-month sentence. A third person awaits sentencing in the case.
