Michigan using new federal funds to help families struggling with energy costs

Michigan has received another $35 million to help households that are struggling with energy costs.

The US Department of Health and Human Services announced that it was releasing supplemental funding for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, and Michigan’s share was $35.1 million.

Indiana’s portion of the $900 million in funding has not been announced.
