A woman has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that happened this past weekend at Beacon Heights Apartments in South Bend.

Kristy Lynn Hawkins, 38, was booked into the St. Joseph County Jail on preliminary suspicion of murder.

The shooting happened around 3:50 a.m. on Saturday, June 13. When officers arrived, they found Allen Williams, 17, of Chicago, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he died.

Hawkins is being held without bond.
