Man saved from burning car in Cass County Monday

A man was saved from a burning vehicle after a crash in Cass County Monday.

Cass County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the one-car crash on Redfield Street, near Maple Glen Drive, just before 7 Monday morning. Deputies were told a pick-up had hit a tree and was on fire, trapping the driver inside.

Once on-scene, officers were able to get the driver to safety from the rear window of the truck. The driver was not hurt.

Police report the crash happened after the driver experienced a medical issue and lost control.
