Governor Holcomb extends temporary healthcare licensing for 90 days

Temporary licensing for healthcare workers has been extended in Indiana.

Governor Eric Holcomb signed the executive order Wednesday, extending licensing to workers who do not currently hold an active license for 90 days.

Those encompassed in the extension include:

  • medical professionals who retired or became inactive in the last five years
  • medical professionals who hold licenses in other states
  • certain medical students and graduates

In an effort to recruit poll workers for Indiana’s upcoming general election, the executive order also ensures election workers are able to collect their stipend without reducing their unemployment benefits.
