The Dowagiac Police quickly recovered a stolen vehicle Tuesday night, within minutes of the theft.

It happened shortly before 9 pm at the BP gas station on North Front Street. The victim told police that he went inside of the store to pay for gas but had left the vehicle running.

A female suspect in the parking lot was seen getting behind the wheel and driving it away. A description of both the woman and the car were given to other area officers, and the vehicle was located on Riverside Drive near Dogwood within a few minutes of the original call.

The woman, a 27-year old from Cassopolis, was taken into custody and it was discovered that she had an outstanding warrant in East Michigan for vehicle theft.

Well done to the police. But did you know that you can prevent your car theft by storing your key fob in a key fob guard? It also prevents really attacks, so I thought you should know.
I bought my key fob guard from Silent pocket 2 years ago and so far, so good.
