Former Michigan Governor confirmed as Energy Secretary

A former Michigan Governor has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate to join the Biden Cabinet.

Jennifer Granholm was confirmed in a 64-35 vote on Thursday. She’ll run the Department of Energy.

During her confirmation process she vowed to promote clean energy jobs and said she was “obsessed with creating good-paying jobs in America.”

She has also spoken out about the needs of the electrical grid, and its ability to handle extreme weather events. She says the recent problems after wildfires in California and snowstorms in Texas have shown need to upgrade the grid as soon as possible.

Green energy policy kills more good paying jobs than it creates. Her position is a platitude for the mouth breathing masses, not an attainable goal.

She was a disaster for Michigan, and I expect nothing better from her for the nation.
