Taco Bell is testing an idea for a vegetarian meat option

Taco Bell is testing their own meat alternative to give vegetarians another reason to make a run for the border.

After being hesitant early on to add plant-based meat to the menu, a Beyond Meat alternative was announced in January.

The Cravetarian Taco is a vegetarian version of the Crunchy Taco Supreme, with meat made from peas and chickpeas.

At the moment its only available at the Taco Bell location in Tustin, California. If it passes the test and goes nationwide, customers will be able to replace regular meat in their tacos with the meat alternative for no extra cost.
