A man was shot and killed in Benton Harbor.

The shooting happened around 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, in the 200 block of Fair Avenue.

On arrival, officers found the victim in a vacant lot. A second person was also injured by gunfire and taken to the hospital.

Benton Harbor Police, Benton Township Police, Berrien County Sheriffs and Coloma Police were all called to the scene.

There was no immediate word about any arrests or the circumstances that led to the shooting.
