For the Indiana Pacers this year, the playoff streak has ended…and now so has the tenure of their coach.
Wednesday, Nate Bjorkgren was fired after just one season with the NBA team. ESPN reports that the Pacers are expected to pursue a more experienced and established head coach.
A six-year run of playoff appearances came to an end this season as the team finished below 500 and lost a play-in tournament game. It was widely reported that Bjorkgren had lost the locker room and the support of the organization.
