Michigan ranks in top ten best states for summer road trips, according to study

Michigan ranked in the top ten for Best States for Summer Road Trips.

That’s according to a recent study by financial website, WalletHub, which compared all 50 states across three key dimensions: cost, safety and activities.

Michigan ranked 9th overall. The state also ranked 4th in states with the lowest cost of car repairs.

Meanwhile, Indiana ranked 34th overall.

The top five best states for summer road trips were determined to be New York, Texas, Louisiana, Maine and North Carolina.

The lowest-ranked state was Rhode Island.
