Riley High School special education paraprofessional charged with child seduction

A 55-year-old woman who works as a Special Education Paraprofessional at Riley High School in South Bend has been charged with child seduction.

The charges are connected to allegations that she had an inappropriate relationship with a student, who had been listed as a runaway.

According to court documents, Denise Freitag, who was student’s tutor, picked up the 16-year-old student earlier this month, fed him, washed his clothes, gave him marijuana and had sexual relations with him. Freitag is set for arraignment on Thursday, July 1.
