Two men on parole were arrested in Niles and Buchanan after a search warrant related to a narcotics investigation, according to Leader Publications.
Detectives in Niles recovered around 1.5 grams of heroin, over a quarter of crystal meth, a 9-millimeter pistol, an AK-47 riffle, and evidence of controlled purchases.
In Buchanan, detectives found evidence of previously conducted controlled purchases.
Prior to the executing the search warrant, officers had already seized over 4-grams of heroin and 18-grams of crystal meth from the same suspects.
Two men, both currently on parole, were arrested on parole detainers while the Berrien County Prosecutors officer reviews new felony and weapon charges.
