A former Concord school teacher charged with child sex crimes wants to plead insanity.

47-year-old Andrew Cowells is charged with vicarious sexual gratification with a teenage victim, child solicitation and possessing child pornography. 18 charges in all.

It was back in May prosecutors say he exhibited inappropriate behavior inside a classroom and a restroom at Concord High School back.

He’s also charged with voyeurism, battery and harassment by electronic means.

School leaders say none of the child porn allegedly found on Cowells’ phone involved Concord students.

A hearing about the insanity defense is set for early November.

Andrew Cowells attorneys are trying the insanity plea, I hope that the Judge, PA and Jury will see that justice is served.
A person has to be iniquitous, have to be to these acts of violence.
I hope he gets convicted. Looses his teaching accreditations and has to file that he is a sex offender the rest of his life.
We know it was known in May, so how far back does it really go? How many more victims did he do immoral acts upon? What other schools, churches, outings!
I am an advocate see something, say something, and audit classrooms!
