Hit-and-run in Elkhart County leaves pedestrian hospitalized

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that took off from the scene in Elkhart County.

The collision happened around 8:00 p.m., Wednesday night, at County Road 11 north of County Road 6.

A 32-year-old man was struck by the vehicle’s side mirror. He suffered cuts and an injury to his lower leg.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Elkhart County Police described the vehicle as a silver passenger car with damage to the side mirror.
