The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two barn fires that occurred on October 1, 2021.
- At approximately 9:39 PM Elkhart County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a barn fire located at 72648 CR 43 Syracuse, Indiana.
- At approximately 11:17 PM Elkhart County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a barn fire located at 13394 CR 48 Syracuse, Indiana.
No injuries were reported at either incident.
Detectives with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office responded for preliminary investigation at both scenes.
Details provided for this release are preliminary and the investigation into both fires is ongoing.
These barn fires are the last in a series of barn fires that are under investigation in Elkhart County.
