Former Ft. Wayne-South Bend Diocese Priest formally charged with child sex abuse

A former priest for the Catholic Diocese of Ft. Wayne-South Bend has been charged after accusations of child sex abuse.

The Whitley County Prosecutor’s Office filed the charges against David Huneck, including charges of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Furnishing Alcohol to a minor, and two counts of battery.

Huneck resigned his posts in the diocese last month. On Friday, the Diocese said that the church has its own investigative process, which led to his being placed on their public list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of a minor.
