Three teens arrested after jumping from stolen vehicle

Two teenage boys have been arrested after jumping out of an apparent stolen vehicle.

The Elkhart Truth reports the arrests happened on Friday night, Oct. 8. An Elkhart officer spotted the vehicle that matched the description of one that was stolen in the area of South 3rd and Harrison Streets.

The vehicle turned onto Chapman Avenue and jumped a curb.

The officer saw three people jump out just before the vehicle hit a tree.

Two of the boys were arrested for resisting law enforcement and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.

The third was not taken into custody.
