Elkhart man accused of stabbing brother after texting fight

An Elkhart man has been arrested after police say he stabbed his brother after the two got into a fight through text messages.

Police in Elkhart were called to an apartment in the 2600 block of Turnberry Drive, on Friday night, Oct. 8.

The victim said he and his brother got into a fist fight, hour after words were exchanged on text., according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

He said his brother, 19-year-old Jacob Blyer, grabbed a knife and stabbed him.

The victim was taken to the hospital and will be okay.

Blyer was arrested on preliminary charge of aggravated battery.
