An investigation is underway into a woman’s death in South Bend.

The woman was found at a home in the 800 block of South Lake Street around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15.

Police were sent to the area on the report of a person suffering some sort of distress.

Officers discovered the woman’s body when they entered the home.

The victim has been identified as Sa’Sha Agnew, 30. She suffered apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A person detained for questioning on Friday has been released.

So far there is no word of any suspects or arrests or what led to Agnew’s death.
