One person is dead after a crash on M-152 in Cass County

A crash on M-152 in Cass County leaves one person dead.

The collision happened shortly after 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9 when a westbound vehicle crossed over the center line, striking an oncoming vehicle.

The force of the impact caused the eastbound car to flip. Officers say both cars had caught fire and were engulfed when they arrived.

One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was taken to the hospital for treatment and was later released.

Police say both drivers were buckled up. Factors into what led to the crash are still being investigated.
