South Bend man sentenced in federal court after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute

44-year-old Jason Cochran, of South Bend, has been sentenced in federal court after pleading guilty to possession with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

Cochran was sentenced to 70 months in prison followed by 4 years of supervised release.

According to court documents, it was back in late January when Cochran possessed over 50 grams of methamphetamine that he intended to distribute and had a large amount of cash. Cochran has three prior felony convictions and eight misdemeanor convictions.

This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration with the assistance of the St. Joseph County Police Department.
