A snowy Tuesday afternoon, but it won’t stick for long

(Photo supplied/ABC 57)

(Maci Tetrick/ABC 57 Meteorologist) Precipitation on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 28, is a mix of rain/snow throughout the day. Any snow is wet and slushy. Low accumulation is possible, but the good news is that most of today’s snow won’t stick, so impacts are minor. Some periods of heavy snow are possible, which will lead to low visibility on the road in the middle of the day. It’ll feel cold, windy, and damp outdoors, so make sure you dress warm. Temperatures struggle into the upper 30s this afternoon. Precipitation wraps up late this evening, leading to a quiet day Wednesday. Brief chance for rain/snow late Wednesday night, otherwise, the week trends dry with a snow/rain possible on New Year’s Day.
