A park in Pulaski County has closed temporarily due to flooding from recent heavy rains.

WNDU reports that part of the Winamac City Park, near the Tippecanoe River, is sitting underwater thanks to a combination of near record high river levels and heavy rain and snow storms.

The Winamac Town Manager says many of the sitting areas, ball courts, and playgrounds are flooded, as are some nearby homes.

No timetable has been set for reopening.
