Over two dozen AED’s donated to LaPorte Police Department

The LaPorte Police Department has received over two-dozen automated external defibrillators, otherwise known “A-E-D’S”.

They are a lightweight, portable devices that delivers an electric shock through the chest to the hear.

According to ABC 57 News, a total of 26-AED’s were donated by the Bolt for the Heart Foundation through St. Franciscan Hospital.

These devices will go in patrol vehicles for officers to use during cardiac situations.
