Elkhart man suffers injuries after tire burst causing his car to lose control

A 21-year-old Elkhart man suffered face, head, hand and back injuries after one of his tires burst and he lost control of his car.

The collision happened just after 4:30 a.m. on Friday, March 18, on County Road 9 near County Road 32.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office reports the man drove off the road and collided with some trees, coming to a stop on top of a drainage pipe in a ditch. He was taken, by ambulance, to Elkhart General Hospital.
