A South Bend man was arrested after allegedly spying on a girl with a hidden camera in her bathroom.

It happened in December 14, 2020, when the victim says that she was using 43-year-old Sergio Fernandez’s phone to do her homework.

She says that she found pictures and videos of herself in her bathroom on the phone, which she did not take.

The victim told officers, on December 15, that she had also seen Fernandez watching her through a crack in the bathroom doorframe.

Investigators received a search warrant for Fernandez’s phone.

That’s when they confirmed that the videos were taken by him.

ABC 57 News reports that thirteen videos were made in October and November 2020.

Fernandes was arrested on June 22, 2022.
