Three people were hurt and several cares damaged in an apparent shootout between two groups of people at Berrien Homes Apartments.

Benton Charter Township Police were called to the 1700 block of Crystal Court around 2 a.m. on Monday, July 25.

A 25-year-old woman was shot in the abdomen, a 20-year-old man was shot in the thigh and a 17-year-old was shot in the back. All three victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

So far, there is no word of any suspects or arrests.

One of the vehicles seen leaving the area with some of those involved in the gunfire is described as a small, gray-colored SUV, according to our reporting partners at ABC 57.
