Some of Berrien County’s finest dominated at a statewide police competition.

The Berrien County Sheriff’s Mounted Division came home with multiple 1st Place trophies after a competition of mounted divisions from across Michigan. WSJM reports that the team also won the overall points trophy at the 62nd Annual Fall Campout Competition, which was held September 16-18 in Reed City.

The Berrien County division competed in several horseback events in the annual fraternal competition, and placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in a number of marksmanship and combat shooting events as well.
