Tuesday marks just the 2nd General Election for St. Joseph County using Vote Centers.

Vote Centers are still a new experience for most voters who’ve spent decades or more voting down the street from their home at their neighborhood church, school or community center.

Officials encourage voters to allow plenty of time and to be patient with volunteer poll workers.

Those needing a ride to vote, may call 574-288-VOTE.

Registered voters can vote with their photo ID at any vote center from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday.

There are 42 Vote Centers in the County, with 17 of those in the City of South Bend including:

North: LaSalle, Dickenson, Marquette & Clay Schools
West: Charles Black Center and Washington, Navarre & Harrison Schools
South: O’Brien Center and Riley, Jackson & Marshall Schools
East: Rise Up Academy and Adams, Edison & McKinley Schools
Downtown: The Main Library.
