Report shows surge in hospital price transparance

A new report from Patient Rights Advocate shows hospital price transparency is surging nationwide.
In Indiana, 70 percent of hospitals are now fully complying with federal rules requiring clear pricing online—up sharply from just eleven percent in 2024.
Advocates credit a major boost in federal enforcement, with regulators issuing hundreds of warning letters and dozens of fines.
Bipartisan support is also building in Congress for the Patients Deserve Price Tags Act to permanently codify price transparency into federal law.
