A South Bend man has been sentenced in United States District Court on his after pleading guilty to Hobbs Act robbery and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.
Sander Ray, 25, was sentenced to 140 months in prison followed by 2 years of supervised release.
According to court documents, in June 2021, Ray committed an armed robbery of a liquor store and then a cell phone store located in South Bend, Indiana.
Andre Pittman, Ray’s co-defendant, was previously sentenced for his role in the offense to 121 months in prison followed by 2 years of supervised release.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with the assistance of the South Bend Police Department.
